I think all of the Hyperglide+ chains have the same link profiling and \*should\* give the same shift performance. The XTR chain is just stronger and lighter thanks to it's hollow rivets, and longer lasting thanks to its siltec surface finish. That said, the XTR chain is possibly the upgrade most worth its price within the XTR groupset.
