Apparently, I didn't do enough to push the cause of full-face helmets this week so I ate shit today on a section of trail I've ridden more times than I can count. I'm okay, thanks. There were some equipment/performance issues - that I'm leaving aside for the moment - but suffice it to say I couldn't save it and didn't have time to react so I embraced the ground with a decent thud. Made it through the first verse or two of [**The Piano Has Been Drinking**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPPtrqvHGEg) before my self-assessment was that I was okay. Some impressively raw scratches on my chin bar and my arm is throbbing from the impact (yeah I know).
