For pedal/hot day friendly elbow pads I haven't found better than the [POC VPD Air Fabio Ed](https://na.pocsports.com/collections/mountain-biking-armor-elbow-protection/products/vpd-air-elbow-fabio-ed?variant=36312830312614). There is a surprising difference between the various POC offerings and while I like the [](https://na.pocsports.com/collections/mountain-biking-armor-elbow-protection/products/joint-vpd-2-0-elbow?variant=35506484281510)[Joint VPD 2.0](https://na.pocsports.com/collections/mountain-biking-armor-elbow-protection/products/joint-vpd-2-0-elbow?variant=35506484281510) quite well in the park (they're a bit on the warm/heavy side for Summertime pedaling) I didn't get on with the [VPD System Lite](https://na.pocsports.com/collections/mountain-biking-armor-elbow-protection/products/vpd-system-lite-elbow?variant=35593026568358) elbow pads. I found them to be at the same time kind of tight and yet they slipped down easily. You may find them different as the System Lites are well loved by many - but for whatever reason they didn't work well on my arms.
