If you want a great stocking stuffer for a rider a 10 pack of valve cores cost $3 each core and that solves the only complaint I really have with standard presta valves...they occasionally get gunked up with sealant. A fresh core at the start of the season takes care of that in about 20 seconds...it's also a good reminder to top up your sealant while you have the core out.
