I put your mullet and long chainstay predictions together!  And thought for a minute I'd want a long chainstay mullet bike, equating longer chainstay to higher back wheel traction \[as opposed to reality's lower traction??\] that would compensate the rear 27.5's lower traction. I thought I was going to get the best of all worlds haha. This really set me off track and I'm still a bit lost on the concepts... But really, isn't a mullet bike good with today's short chainstays? I mean in a medium sized reach 465 with 435 chainstays. But, I get it that if this was a 29er, longer chaingstays would make sense - for a more centered balance between the wheels for better traction on the front, and for easier release to skid out the rear 29, which I feel sticks a bit too much to the ground. For reference, I'm 5'10 / 177, have a bit longer arms (+9 cm wing span to how tall I am), like 800 bars over 780, and have been riding shortest possible stems since 2018 to feel less stretched out. 😆 My aim for a new 6-and-6 is a 170/170 for larger compressions. If anyone can set the concepts right, I'd be very happy.
