In the Pinkbike article the SantaCruz/Reserve rep answered quite a few questions in the comments and mentioned that the valves do work with Cushcore... and since they work with CC, I'd assume they work with most inserts. Weird that they don't specifically mention it as that would be a concern for many.
I was still skeptical though because the valve doesn't have horizontal ports and the CC would push against the valve. But then found this on their FAQ section:
"6\. Can you use CushCore with the Fillmore valve? Yes, it works, but the poppet pushes against the CushCore when you release pressure, so it takes additional force on the cap to let the air out of the tires."
At $62 CDN plus taxes, I'd wait for some independent testing to find out how well they actually do work with CC.
I like these valves and would be happy if they came on my bike or wheels, but $62 CDN plus taxes?! I don't seem to have any issues with the many basic presta valves I'm used over the years, so I'll pass.
