This is true. But buy the $30 X01 b-bolt _when your GX is new_, and it'll go the distance. And then keep that b-bolt for future GX derailleurs. Or find a friend who nuked their X01 and poach their bolt.
The GX is metal-on-metal at that joint, and it wears down the actual derailleur body. The X01/XX1 version has a nylon sleeve on the bolt, and is a direct replacement.
