I don't think there are many scenarios you can't ask 'what if' about because there will always be times when the answer is unclear, but the more people that read the laws of loam and _understand_ them, the more likely it is that they can make the right decision when the time comes.
Put another way, let's make it easy: if you don't know, and it's not on Trailforks, assume it's a secret trail.
