I should have noted and will note in the final review, that the slacker STA does make it feel like more drop compared to a straight-up seat tube angle since the saddle is also moving forward. I like the bike-body separation of the long drop (I generally run 150mm-170mm) on my hardtail but rear-wheel clearance isn't an issue there.  I also know of a couple of folks who've lost batteries due to saddle/post contact. I've also met a number of riders experiencing "harsh bottom outs" or "shocks bottoming before full travel" where their wheel was actually contacting their seat.
