#!markdown Despite being perfectly capable of building wheels, I ended up buying a set of these wheels to replace some battered Race Face Turbines. I was surprised how much stiffer these are, to the point of initially oversteering into corners as I guess I'd previously compensating for the slight flex in the cheaper RF wheels. I've had the wheels for a fair while and have had no issues at all. Some people comment that the tires wear super fast, and they probably do if you are an enduro-strava-skidder, but if you ride with any sort of finesse then they seem fine. They are never going to last as long as a tire with a bulkier tread though. I should probably throw in some new sealant as I'm finding that they need topping up with air on a regular basis but I'm super lazy when it comes to my own bikes (too busy fixing others). I'm due to replace the rear tire soon after several months, but seeing that semi-slicks are back in fashion, maybe I'll just wear it flat and buy some pink goggles. I'd probably buy these wheels again despite not being a super trendy width or having lavender coloured decals.
