I’ve seen road chains being waxed - and heard the benefits bandied about like mythology incarnated - but haven’t tried it. I’ve read claims it holds up much better for road miles than mountain biking comparing wet conditions? It’s certainly a bike nerd thing, like gluing a tubular, I should probably try at some point so I can say I have!
