Yes.  All a 'lockout' is doing - fork & most shocks - is adding low-speed compression damping. It's not changing anything about how the air springs (or coil springs) perform.  An 'open' short travel bike rides very differently from a 'closed' long-travel bike. If you're curious to try wait until demo bikes are a thing again and ride something like a Spur v. Sentinel or a new Stumpy v. Enduro. Even with the wheels swapped the shorter travel bike will be lively and more interesting on the climbs. Not everyone's cup of tea mind you. Nor always my cup of tea. I've been missing the Titan quite a bit since I started stripping it down.
