Wellington, NZ is going into what's usually a pretty mild winter. Me and a couple of mates generally get out for a couple of hours once a week after the groms are in bed to fill in ruts, widen lines, rebuild jumps and redo drainage.
The soil is finally moist enough to hold together and a couple hours of mahi at a time is incredibly satisfying and very addictive.
The point made about adrenaline is very true. People don't know how to react and this can happen as early as just after the first corner in my experience haha.
