I have ridden packless for two years. Unfortunately the Titan does not have room for a good frame bag and I refuse to strap a tube to my frame and let it get muddy. It was either spend a bunch of money on new tools (one up, wolftooth, etc.) And frame bags OR buy a vest. We'll see how it goes.
My favourite riding kit is RF Ambush shorts and an Arcteryx Alpha AR jacket. I can carry a second bottle in the shorts pocket, all the tools I need in my jacket pockets (incl shock pump). It rides surprisingly well. As long as you don't crash and put a hex key into your aorta. I'm hoping the vest can do that but better and in summer.
