I run 810's, so far I've found that gloves 100% of the time along with Sensus Disisdaboss grips (for the lateral coverage) has worked best, but I want to see what Cam Z's latest grip (iirc Lyle signature) has for more circumference, because I think that's going to be my preferred answer.
What I've found is that thicker grips can do a lot for bar compliance and fatigue management, which is why I don't see bikes shipping with massive bars that need cutting down is necessarily problematic (or at least less so than shipping with 780 or 750mm bars that are immediate take-offs for somebody my size).
