#!markdown I'm happy that you chimed in here, and I'm not surprised that these guys let their wives out to ride. I don't really think I implied that, but I do see how you might think that I have a major problem with the way the video deals with the social aspects of how women/mothers access time for recreation, or specifically riding as @zigak:disqus called me out on. I don't have a major problem with that, just a small one. It was one thing said among a bunch of friends that in that context is of little consequence. It's not of much consequence in the vid either, but no way would I have left it in there if I was directing/editing. I just see it as casually contributing to a far too common aspect of gender unfairness. It's not extreme in nature, but the commonality of men/dad's saying that their wives need to let them out (without acknowledging their wives' needs) makes it pretty significant, I think. That people don't call these sorts of things out, I think speaks to the pervasiveness of this sort of thing, as opposed to the obvious black and white type stuff to do with gender. And really, I figured a little discussion might be good, and I might learn something from a fresh perspective. Thanks.
