Very interesting that you find the Freerider _more_ flexible in the sole than the 2.0. Do you get a lot of feedback through the shoes on rugged hike-a-bikes? I don’t think I could do flexier than these - but who knows, I do love them. I also come at stiffness from the perspective of someone who’s predominantly clipped in until relatively recently.
All the Five Ten shoes I’ve used have felt stiffer than the 2.0. But it has been a few years. And I they would have been Pros or Sam Hills.
