Good find OMB. More from that article; "There is still no consensus that the Virginia Tech formula for rating helmets for concussion pinpoints the helmets that reduce concussion the best. Changes to the tested helmets to improve their scores might not result in fewer concussions in the field." So it's possible manufacturers are changing helmets to improve better in the tests but there is no evidence these changes improve concussion protection, which means it could even make them worse.
