#!markdown There are lots of good comments here, but for me you nailed it. No matter what I've had in the way of new bike gear, it doesn't really take long for the desire for new, or even just different stuff to re-emerge. So, I don't see the point of indulging when I have other very justifiable expenses in my life. These 'wants' are really just the psychological foundation for consumerism, and MTB has it just like many aspects of westernised culture. It obviously comes at a cost to us all, and we need to be responsible.
