Yeah, it's definitely a multifactorial thing, and the most correct relevant measurements (chest width, upper arm length, torso length, vertical weight distribution, reach, pythagorean reach-stack, head angle, and three-sigma distribution of tree spacing) would all conspire to produce a single 'best' answer range, but it's definitely a broader direction that is at least onto something.
For my part, having started trying to ride seriously on 720mm bars is basically preposterous unless I'm running a comically long stem, and even then just made existing shoulder injuries worse.
