Stack height is very much about the interaction with Reach. Pivots I’ve ridden, for example, I’ve always needed to slam the bar as the Stack has felt quite tall compared to Reach. Then I’ll be mounting 30mm rise bars and 30mm of headset spacers on a really long bike with the same Stack number. The takeaway is definitely to experiment! I’m sure you’ve come across this but for anyone else thinking of using a TALAS-V to play with axle to crown height, do note that the air spring forms up a bit when the hydraulic TALAS system is engaged. I think it’s a great system (and similarly used it to drop just a cm or two) but worth noting.
