I think the life-time warranty seems like a no-brainer for carbon wheel companies. I bet that 99% of the folks buying a set of new carbon wheels are also going to be buying a new bike with some sort of incompatible standard quickly enough that its very unlikely they'll ever be able to collect on the warranty. I wonder if the warranties will change if standards actually standardize.
