King products last over the long haul, I've had an external headset for 13
years that's been on many bikes. Also set of hubs for 8+ years with minimal
maint. The fact the hubs can be converted to new standards with existing shell
is huge in the longevity department. Being able to maintain and adapt to new
standards make King products worth the initial investment imo.
