I’ve been repairing carbon frames for years!  Broken seat stays,  broken top tubes. Fixing is relatively simple and saves the planet from another perfectly functional piece of fibre reinforced plastic sitting in a landfill for the next 5000 years.  I employ a similar approach to what Matt did except my vacuum system seals flawlessly. I use breather fabrics to help absorb excess epoxy and then use light weight tinted fillers to smooth it all out after the structural part is cured. Tinted so that I can tell when I am sanding down to the substrate level. Then paint it and go out and smash it again.
