Howdy, Velocipedestrian! Have you possibly tried out the WTB Silverado? Use the saddle that leaves you most comfortable, of course, but your thoughts about the Volt are somewhat/mostly addressed with the Silverado saddle. It has thin padding, is shorter in the nose area and doesn't hammock as much. Available in Narrow (135mm) or Medium (142mm).
