Howdy, andyf! The sit bone range for Medium-width saddles is 102-130mm, whereas Wide is 131+mm. Looking at that, you're right on the border between the two! From there, preference often plays a big role. Similar to a 175cm (5'9") rider often being able to ride a Medium or Large bike. In those cases, we often suggest somebody try the wider saddle if they're unsure. Too wide of a saddle can indeed cause rubbing, but a too-narrow hatchet can provide serious discomfort.
