Yep been there bought that t-shirt. Some people no matter how much time, training or the type of bike they have will not be able to get over the fear of riding on narrow trail and over obstacles. The great thing for me is my lady is the same height is me and I inherited another mtb because she is scared to death of it. Great things is she wants to hang out with me all the time so I have convinced her to shuttle me win win.
