Beer!
I don't really like lager [My Dad gave me a taste of his Pilsner stubby when I
was 6. That prevented me from drinking beer again until I was 20-ish.], but
that moderate hop + big citrus flavour is my current go-to for ales. I have
experienced the same issue with a bottled beer being great on the first go-
round but mediocre the next time I try it. Thus, I am forced to go to pubs
with rotating taps [the horror!]. I try to buy local when I can, and my
current favourite is the Last Best IPA, brewed a mere 4km from my house. The
downside of that brew is the 6.5% ABV. It tastes lighter than it is, so 2
pints turns into 4+, especially on a sunny patio.
