Just FYI. The owners of the company I work for also are in the brewing
business. Much of the beer you drink may not be brewed by who or where you
think. When a micro brewer's demand exceeds their capacity, they outsource.
Send the recipe to another, larger brewer with some extra capacity and put
there label on it. So, I would speculate that this outsourced version may not
be brewed with the same love and care as the original. No data or proof, just
a guess as to why the supposed same beer is no longer the same delicious brew
it was on a previous occasion.
