well, if you are not pedalling that much and plan to go down really steep slippery trails, the magic mary will work... I've used a worn magic mary SG vertstar as rear tire, and it really gives you confidence.. pedalling sucks compared to a minion dhr II 2.3 for comparison... there is a 2.25 magic mary but I believe is the snakeskin version without reinforcement... for me its a nogo in my bike..
