Ya, wasn't sure where exactly you were... and totally agree, would love to see more space devoted to pumptracks and smaller flow jumps and such.
Another alternative, hop on the ferry and come over for a weekend and ride hartland near Victoria = no snow and one third of the rain Squamish/Northshore gets = great riding all year. Other island riding areas get similar weather to Squam/NS. Only around Victoria benefits from the Olympic range rain shadow.
And if you're coming through Nanaimo, you could spend some time at the Steve Smith park pump tracks... that place is beyond fun.
