That has to be one of the most messed up letters. I would never hang out with people like that. The long road trips we all just split gas, take turns filling the tank.
Squamish/Whistler trips take turns or buy lunch and beers, it all evens out in the long run. If someone wanted to charge me for wear and tear on the car, I would demand an invoice then I would edit them out of my life pretty fast.
