Hi JD,
Step one is to unwind the tool-free adjuster knob from the piston rod. Put your 2mm hex key in as if you were adjusting the reach and then any soft clamp should apply enough force to unwind the knob.
You’ll need to Loctite the adjuster knob if you want it to be usable on re-install but if it doesn’t matter if you’re just going to use the hex key to adjust reach like I do.
Once the knob is off you can undo the main pivot bolts and then unwind the lever blade from the piston rod.
When installing the new lever just reverse the process. Note that the pivot bolts should be Loctited and not over tightened.
