Ah yes, seems it does, I had looked at the new 650B version. So it seems Giant has gone in on if you have 29" wheels, that's as good as an inch of travel :-\ Yes they ride differently than smaller wheeled bikes and it does seem you need less suspension, but in reality displacement is displacement. 45mm between the Reign and Trance is still quite a bit of a gap, wheel size ignored. I would be interested to hear someones thoughts who gets to ride both on how they feel and if the gap between them feels as big as the numbers or if the 29" wheels "make up" for the lesser travel.
