I just got rid of my 2018 BC edition instinct, carbon wheels and all. I found I was having way more fun and a bigger smile on my face every time I was out riding on my steel Chromag samurai. 1x10, beefy aluminum rims, decent fork and fun for days.
I’ve ridden it on everything from double black Pemberton dh runs, north shore, to flowy Kamloops ridge lines.
Never is it not fun, never do I feel like I don’t have enough, or have too much bike.
I will probably add a full suspension again at some point, but will is it needed? Heck no.
