Hi, Well, no, sorry - I'm from Israel.  So it's only local as 14hours flight can be called local ;) However, I live in a mountainous area - there's rarely any ride with anything less then 1000-1200ft vertical ascend, usually more. (e.g. - Today was 2,700ft). also - very rare flats here. ups, downs, rocks... However - I don't like the feeling of "pedaling on empty" - if that makes any sense. like - there's no feedback from the bike, even though - it's obviously physically demanding :0
