I find the tread cap stays flexible and grips well. I haven’t ridden the 1-ply TRS version but I’d think that would be a winner for cold/technical rides.
The LR1 definitely stays more flexible than 3c. That’s compared to my Maxx terra experiences as I haven’t ridden the new 29” Maxx Grip.
I’m excited to try the new Specialized Gripton rubber at some point as apparently it stays comparatively flexible in the cold.
