I take my own vacation away from it all around my birthday every year and it involves nothing but me, my bike and exploring new trails and areas.
It started when I turned 40, I went up to the North Shore and discovered how much I suck at mountain biking. It's driven me to get better, even at 43 now. I met great people, had good food and drinks. last year it was Nelson, same. Maybe next year Kelowna/Penticton. It's not just about the riding. It's making friends, experiencing new things.
