On mountain bikes you will always have some pedal Bob due to pedalling biomechanics, however, and similarly to what happens on motorbikes, the 100% seem to be a consensual number. At least will eliminate the squats caused by the horizontal acceleration. On MTB it's easy to feel the difference between a 30% or a 100% AS bike.
