I had this debate with a couple guys 'successfully' running the HT pedals with FiveTen shoes. In both cases the cleats were so proud (spacers underneath) that they looked like they were walking around in road shoes during any hike-a-bike sections on wood or rocks. To me it negates the reason to have Stealth rubber on shoes but definitely to each their own/mileage will vary. There definitely wasn't an ideal setup for me.
