#!markdown I think 6 inches of travel is just about the limit (in my opinion) for a great performing single pivot bike. The simple arc that the wheel follows means that your rear wheel is swinging pretty far forward once you get up to 7-8 inches of travel…or you're doing pretty weird things with your pivot location. "Vertical Wheel Path" is a bit of a myth, but it seems like straightening out your wheel path around the 7-8 inch travel mark really helps get away from having to do really weird things with your seat tube. Whether it be the angle, or a giant kink, or whatever. But I might be wrong about this.
