Hi, yes I agree with your sentiments and your proposed actions, if I wasn't so
lazy I'd have returned mine and asked for shorter cranks. Especially as the
bikes are much more expensive in the UK £2500. I only looked at crank prices,
they were around £200 plus I would have had to pay for them to be fitted, so
looked no further.
I have grown to love the bike, but I'm laid up at the moment after a heavy
fall, which I can't be sure wasn't due to a pedal strike, no idea what
happened.
One thing I did do that improved it was not use the auto-sag on the rear
damper, I just pump it up to 180psi, that was advice i got off some guys I
met, and it made a big difference.
