Had they changed the lengths of the rear end links across the range, then each
size would have different travel, progressiveness and/or axle path. By just
the moving position of the rear triangle pivots (assuming their positions
relative to each other didn't change) they can keep the travel,
progressiveness and axle path identical for the the different sizes
