First time I saw sonic youth was 91 and they were opening for Neil Young at
the PNE. The crowd had that same reaction - ear drums and minds blown - but
they were generally not stoked. Between songs some guy in the nosebleeds
shouted "FUUUUUUUUCK YOOOUUU!" somehow loud enough the entire arena heard it.
