Totally fair that you would rather not read about 29 or 27 plus. Except
there's no news about 26″ stuff.
It took five minutes to compile this list of 26″ wheels that are available
online. Any competent shop could hand build something nice for less than the
ones I'm quoting at the high end:
Stans RGX wheelset $650 all in, built and ready to go.
Stand Flow is also $650.
Sun Ringle ADD Pro at Jenson $700.
CRC has XT M788 wheels for $299. Or the DT Swiss EXC 1550 CARBON wheels for
$390.
Maxxis is still making 26″ tires - we just spoke to Bobby Brown about that
yesterday. So is Schwalbe.
So…by all means be un-stoked that there aren't new 26″ bikes. But don't whine
about stuff not being available, because it ain't true.
