Understandable frustration. What's less understanding is why your shop in PG
can't get parts in in under a month. A week would be understandable but any
good shop that is intent on keeping you as a customer (and you sound exactly
like the kind of supportive customer any shop should make accommodations for)
should be working a little harder to find a solution. Hell, you could mail
order the parts and have them in a week and then just get the shop to build
for you - but that's doing half the work for them.
My suspicion is they're more intent on selling you something they already have
in stock as winter approaches, rather than ordering something in. Not a good
long term play…
