I hear about this back pedaling issue with Shark quite a bit, but I have not
had that problem. Running it on a 2010 Intense attached VP. I too often
backpedal to set up for a technical section or to do a pedal kick up a ledge.
Shifting is smooth, love the extra range of the 50T and being able to run a
34T ring up front.
Only negative I've had is that the upgraded derailleur cage hangs very low on
a 26″ bike. I've tagged it on rocks a few times already, seems to be pretty
stout, but time will tell.
All in all, I think it's a great upgrade.
