I recently picked up a used 2012 Dixon RC. I have been pleasantly surprised by
how well it pedals. I did have the same observation that the rear suspension
comes into its own at speed. I have swapped the Float 32 for a Float 36RC that
has been lowered to 150mm as well. It improved the steering significantly for
me. Not that I am heavy but have been using a Talas 36 for the last few years
on another bike I am used to the rigidity of the 36 and 20mm axle. I added a
KS Lev dropper post. I never thought I would like the bike as much.
