I gotta go to bat for Eureka and NorCal, we have a strong cycling community
filled with passionate an intrepid mountain bikers. We have some awesome
trails, like redgate, tish tang, paradise royal, Mckay tract, Arcata forest
just to name a few. We are surrounded by thousands of acres of timber lands so
to truly experience our scene you gotta go with those who know. Yes, Eureka
has its share of tweekers and derelicts but once you know where not to be
there is a gem of a city, an old city, built out of old growth. Legitimate
trail building is underway in Sunny Brae Forest with directional trails to
come. So if you find yourself in Eureka, go to the local bike shop and ask
where to ride, and maybe they will show you some of our poached trails!
