Ride to the Hills was my favourite Simmons segment. I remember watching his
segment and taking my bike into Bow Cycle in Calgary and requesting a bash
guard on my XC Kona hard tail, they chuckled and sent me packing but a few
month later I bought a SC Bullet from them with my first student loan and had
to mooch food for a couple months. I've always wanted to meet Wade and thank
him for representing the sport so well. It's a rare thing to see someone with
his talent and credentials not take themselves too seriously and promote doing
what you enjoy and being good to others. Thanks Wade. Hopefully one day I'll
bump into on the trails in Victoria, if you're ever on the rock, and awkwardly
thank you personally.
